Cap Self-Hosted privacy policy

The Google Drive connection lets the workspace store and retrieve Cap recordings. Cap uses the Drive account identifier, OAuth tokens, recording files and segments, folder and file identifiers, and related file metadata for uploads, processing, playback, and the workspace's recording sharing features. Cap's Drive access is scoped to files it creates or is authorized to use.

Recordings may remain on the Mac and in the connected Google Drive folder. Cap stores credentials in its local server database using encrypted fields. Google hosts the files stored in Drive. For recordings where link sharing is enabled, people who have that recording's link can view it under the link's settings. Google API data is used for these recording features and handled in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Disconnect Drive in Cap to stop routing new recordings to that connection. Revoke access in your Google Account to invalidate Cap's Google authorization. Copies already saved on the Mac or in Drive remain until removed by the workspace operator or the relevant account owner. Contact the workspace operator through the Forge website for access, removal, retention, or privacy questions.
